DEADLY LEVELS OF PLESEANT WEATHER !!!!

11th sunday of ordinary time fear mt 10:26-33 year a Jun 26, 2023

We don’t know how the weather app on your SSD (soul-sucking-device) works, but the one on ours (Apple’s standard app) was designed by people who sell blood pressure pills.

We’ve literally had SEVERE Weather Alerts for:

  • Fog
  • Humidity
  • Slippery conditions (not black ice, mind you – just “slippery”)
  • Hazardous levels of mild and partly sunny

Ok, the last one is a slight exaggeration, the first three are completely legit.

We grew up in Connecticut and winters were fairly, you know, wintery.  There were regular events of what used to be called a snowfall, before the weather people realized it was actually a “public health hazard” second only to nuclear fallout.  School was rarely canceled.  We remember bus drivers navigating through a foot of snow.

No one died.

No one got a hang nail.

Look – we’re not saying to throw caution to the wind and play fast-and-loose with children on a bus (although – have you seen many of today’s bus drivers?  We’d rather risk the foot of snow…).

The point is – everything today is geared to ginning up fear and at the same time sending the message that “you are completely vulnerable and helpless.”

Fear sells.

The globalists and illuminati think they’re cleverly using fear to convince you to take certain injections, or to sell you on government bailouts, or to justify taking your gas stove, or whatever.

They’re pawns.

Fear is the schtick of the history’s greatest salesman.  You’ve heard the old saw “he could sell ice to eskimos.”  That’s nothing.  This guy - the greatest salesman of all time – is so good, that back in the day he got two schlubs to trade him an entire tropical paradise for just the bite of an apple.

He wants to make a similar trade with you.  CNN (and the whole woke mob) are just his middlemen.

In Sunday’s Gospel reading (in the postscript) when Jesus tells His disciples “do not be afraid” the context is that He’s telling them to not fear the empty threats and ravings of “the world.”

The SECOND step to managing fear is discerning the difference between “good” fear (the healthy response to genuine evil) and phony fear – you know, like “cloudy with a chance of mass extinction.”

What’s the first step?  “Jesus, I trust in You.”

Blessings on your journey with Christ –

Postscript – Do Not Be Afraid   Mt 10:26-33

Jesus said to the Twelve:  "Fear no one.  Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.  What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.  And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?  Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge.  Even all the hairs of your head are counted.

So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.  Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.  But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father."

Is that voice from God?
